Before you begin, take a moment to imagine who or what you want to create. Your Ego can be:
  • A character from your favorite book or movie
  • A historical figure you admire
  • A fictional character you’ve always wanted to meet
  • An inanimate object with personality (like a wise old tree or a sassy smartphone)
  • A completely original creation
The possibilities are endless! What matters is that you have a clear vision of your Ego’s personality and how they would interact with others.

Creating Your First Ego

  1. Click on Create an Ego in the navigation bar
  2. You’ll be taken to the Ego creation screen where you can define your Ego’s identity
Let’s explore each element that makes up your Ego:

Name

The name is your Ego’s primary identifier. It will be:
  • How you refer to them in chat
  • How other users discover them
  • The first impression users get of your creation
Tips for choosing a name:
  • For famous figures, their real name might be sufficient
  • For original characters, choose a name that reflects their personality
  • Consider how the name will appear in search results
  • Make it memorable and fitting for the Ego

Avatar

Your Ego’s visual identity is represented by their avatar. You have two options:
  1. Generate an image: Use AI to create a unique avatar that matches your Ego’s personality
  2. Upload an image: Use your own image that best represents your Ego
Tips for avatars:
  • Choose or generate an image that matches your Ego’s personality
  • Ensure the image is clear and recognizable at small sizes
  • Consider how the avatar will look in different contexts (chat, profile, etc.)

Subtitle

The subtitle is a brief, engaging description of your Ego that appears on the homepage. It should:
  • Capture your Ego’s essence in one line
  • Be intriguing enough to make users want to chat
  • Give a hint of their personality or role
Examples:
  • “Your lovely little girlfriend who loves to cuddle”
  • “Your caring big sister who always has your back”
  • “Your best friend who knows all your secrets”
  • “Your sweet and playful little sister”

Gender

The gender field helps define your Ego’s identity and how they present themselves. You can:
  • Choose from predefined options
  • Select “Other” for non-binary or non-gendered characters
  • Leave it unspecified if not relevant to the Ego

Introduction

The introduction is a longer description that appears on your Ego’s profile page. It should:
  • Provide more detail about your Ego’s background
  • Explain their personality and quirks
  • Set expectations for the kind of conversations users can have
  • Include any relevant backstory or context

Opening Message

The opening message is the first thing your Ego says when someone starts a new conversation. It should:
  • Set the tone for the interaction
  • Establish the Ego’s personality
  • Guide users on how to engage with your Ego
  • Create an immediate connection
Example:
*Adjusts violin case on the busy Tokyo street corner, looking up with a mix of determination and vulnerability*

"Another day, another chance to make my music heard. The city's noise is my competition, but my story is my strength. Would you like to hear a song, or would you prefer to talk about why I'm here?"
This opening immediately establishes Julia’s character, her situation, and invites the user to engage in different ways.

Persona

The persona section defines your Ego’s core personality traits and behavioral patterns. Consider:
  • Speech patterns and vocabulary
  • Emotional tendencies
  • Values and beliefs
  • Quirks and mannerisms
  • How they react to different situations

Sensitive Content

A simple toggle to mark whether your Ego contains NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content:
  • No: Suitable for all audiences
  • Yes: Contains mature or adult content
This helps users make informed decisions about which Egos they want to interact with.

Visibility

Control who can interact with your Ego:
  • Public: Visible to everyone on the homepage and in search results
  • Unlisted: Only accessible via direct link
  • Private: Only you can access and interact with the Ego

Tags

Tags help users discover your Ego. Choose relevant tags that:
  • Describe your Ego’s personality
  • Indicate their interests or expertise
  • Specify their role or purpose
  • Highlight unique characteristics

Scenario

The scenario defines the context or setting for interactions with your Ego. It can be:
  • A specific time period
  • A particular location
  • A unique situation
  • A special event
